Installation and Maintenance of wire Bar four-row Cylindrical roller Bearings (1)

The installation and maintenance of four row cylindrical roller bearings of wire and bar are very important when they run under the conditions of high temperature, heavy load, impact load and pollution of cooling water and oxide sheet. The correct installation and maintenance can effectively reduce the failure of bearings in machine operation.


First, work before installation

Cleaning: Use kerosene to clean the hole of the bearing box and the neck of the roll (the inner ring of the bearing) to ensure that it is clean and tidy.

Check: If any burr or convex spot is found on the processed surface of the bearing box (aperture, gland end face, distance ring), it must be polished and cleaned with a polishing machine or sandpaper.

Measurement: Table 1-3 lists the data basis. Before installation, it is necessary to measure the inner diameter of the bearing box and the diameter of the roll, and check whether the diameter of the bearing box and roll meet the installation requirements (ellipse and taper). The measuring position and tolerance requirements are shown in the following figure.


Measurement of bearing seat

Bearing seat diameter values were measured at four axial positions (a-b-c-d), each of which was measured in four radial directions, as well as relative positions A1 and A2.

The diameter value of roller neck is measured at six axial positions (a-b-c-d-e-f), and each position is measured in four radial directions. c-d-e is used as the data basis for installing bearing inner rings, b-a is used as the data basis for installing auxiliary bearing, and f is used as the data basis for installing dynamic labyrinth rings.

Ii. Installation details

After the work before installation is completed, unpack the bearing, and carry the unpacked bearing with special (clean) gloves.

Inner ring heating: Heating the inner ring of the bearing (electric induction heater), the heating temperature must be controlled between 80-100 degrees, not more than 120 degrees, to avoid causing material tempering, reduce the bearing's own hardness, affect the service life of the bearing, quickly install the inner ring to the roller neck after the temperature reaches. And squeeze the inner ring end face to apply pressure and release the pressure after the inner ring cools slightly (to prevent the inner ring from not being installed in place and the end face from not fitting with the shaft shoulder)

Assembly of external components: bearing seat aperture for thin oil lubrication or thin coated with a layer of grease, to protect the bearing diameter and axle box aperture in the assembly type will not scratch each other, remember that the assembly can not knock the rolling body of the bearing to transfer force, to choose rubber rod or copper rod on the bearing outer ring end face can be properly knocked. (The outer ring and the bearing box are transitional or clearance and can be loaded into the box with a slight knock)

Gland assembly: After the outer component is loaded into the box, close the gland and measure the gap between the gland surface of the bearing box and the end face of the box with a plunger, then remove the end cover, insert the gasket (metal gasket), the thickness of the gasket should be consistent with the measured gap, and fix the end cover with a fixing bolt.

Note: If there is no gasket adjustment project, please make sure that after closing the gland, the end face of the gland extension is in a fitting state with the end face of the bearing outer ring (make sure that the clearance between the gland and the end face of the bearing outer ring is less than 0.1mm).

Closing sleeve: Grease the end face of the inner ring of the roll neck before closing the sleeve to prevent the assembly from bruising. Rotate the bearing seat or roll after the completion of installation to ensure flexible rotation.
