As we all know, if a BMW car is only used without maintenance, it will not necessarily have a Xiali Haoshi after driving, and the rolling mill bearing is the same. The service life of bearing not only lies in the quality of the bearing itself, but also comes from on-site maintenance. When I was in the early stage of rolling mill bearing sales, I visited the narrow strip steel plant (450 rolling mill, 650 Rolling Mill, etc.) in Wuxi. Most of the bearings here are not maintained - the bearing is not damaged, do not change the roll! My god? They didn't even know that the rolling mill bearing needed to be replaced in the load area, so they picked up a load area and put it to use. Is there any reason why the bearing is not bad? How can the bearing reach a certain life?

1. Reasonable arrangement of work and rest time of bearing and sufficient roll system. Equipment and people are the same, need to work and rest, if only do not stop, it will soon be scrapped, so that the bearing after the machine can be rested, the stress can be released. In order to better serve the production. The approximate roll change period is shown in Table 1

2. Clean and check the bearing after dismounting, replace the seal, adjust the load area according to the cycle, and deal with the scratch or pit on the bearing working surface in time to eliminate the sharp angle burr.

 

I. clean the bearing in time

 

If dirty oil, iron powder or copper powder is found on the bearing after getting off the machine, it shall be cleaned in time. If it is not put into use temporarily after cleaning, it shall be coated with lubricating oil in time and wrapped with film to avoid foreign matters entering into the bearing, prevent acid gas invasion on site as much as possible, and reduce the probability of rust. (as shown in Figure 1-2)

II. The sealing ring should be replaced in time

 

The function of the sealing ring is to prevent the leakage of oil, gas and grease, prevent the emulsion and other foreign matters from entering the bearing, and ensure the good lubrication of the bearing. If the sealing ring lip is missing or deformed, it will lead to foreign matter invasion, oil gas / grease leakage, poor bearing lubrication and speeding up bearing failure. Bearing box seal ring is usually due to the bearing box disassembly tool is not reasonable, resulting in bearing box and roller parts collision or hanging broken lip, resulting in seal failure. III. replace the load area regularly

 

Each set of bearing will be marked with four load areas on the bearing outer ring face four equal parts when leaving the factory. When adjusting the load area, it should be adjusted in the order of 90 ° direction (as shown in Fig. 5)


After the oversize bearing has been working on the machine for a period of time, the outer ring of the bearing will have a slight elliptical deformation. Because the outer ring of the bearing and the inner hole of the axle box are in transition, it is very difficult to remove the outer bearing components and replace the load area only by manpower. It is necessary to rely on a professional oversize bearing disassembly machine, so it is necessary to avoid using it Big hammer and other savage disassembly phenomenon, put an end to the occurrence of safety accidents. IV. if slight peeling or scratch is found on the rolling surface after the bearing is removed from the machine, it shall be treated in time to eliminate the sharp angle and burr, so as to avoid the problem from expanding and affecting the overall life of the bearing (as shown in Fig. 7-11)

To sum up, the service life of bearing is closely related to on-site maintenance, and is directly proportional to the degree of maintenance. It is suggested that the bearing user should make a good account of the bearing maintenance, record the maintenance situation in detail, check carefully, timely and effectively deal with problems found, and focus on tracking after the problem bearing is handled and put into operation. It can also analyze the causes of bearing damage according to the records, reduce the consumption of bearing, reduce the probability of bearing online damage, and ensure the normal operation of the rolling mill.
