Generally speaking, the bearing cage will not be damaged under reasonable working conditions, but the wrong operation in daily production will reduce the service life of the bearing cage. Below, let's take a look at the reasons for the fracture of the bearing cage.
1 Bearing poor lubrication problem
Bearing running in the oil-poor state, easy to form adhesive wear, so that the state of the working surface deteriorates, the tear produced by adhesive wear is easy to enter the cage, causing the cage to produce abnormal load, may cause the cage fracture.
2 Bearing creep phenomenon
Creep refers to the sliding phenomenon of the ring. When the interference of the matching surface is insufficient, the load point moves to the surrounding direction due to sliding, resulting in the deviation of the ring relative to the axis or the circular direction of the shell.
3 Bearing cage abnormal load
Improper installation, tilt, excessive interference, etc., can easily lead to reduced clearance, aggravated friction heat generation, surface softening, and premature abnormal spalling. With the expansion of spalling, foreign matter will enter the cage pocket hole, resulting in retardation of the cage operation and additional load, which aggravates the wear of the cage.
4 Bearing cage material defects
Cracks, large metallic inclusions, shrinkage holes, bubbles, riveting defects, missing nails, cushion nails, the gap between the two halves of the cage, and serious riveting injuries may cause the cage fracture.
5 Bearing hard foreign body intrusion
The intrusion of external hard foreign bodies or other impurities aggravates the wear of the cage.We understand the reasons for the fracture of the bearing cage, and try to avoid these problems when using imported bearings in the future to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
